CES Writing Protocols Introduction

HOW TO PROCEED WITH THE CES WRITING PROTOCOLS CLASS

Dear CES student,

One of the classes you will be taking (some will be taking it for for credit and some will be auditing the class, but either way all must take the class and pass the final exam) is the CES Writing Protocols class. Here are the instructions on how to proceed with that class:

The first thing students must do for the Writing Protocols class is download the Student Handbook and read it from cover to cover. Click here and download --> Student Handbook (PDF)

Mentors are also to read the Student Handbook
Most of the information that is necessary for students to know is also necessary for mentors, and vice versa. Therefore, we have combined the information in this Student Handbook to inform both students and the mentors. So, even though this is a Handbook for students, it is also for the mentors.

Next, the Writing Protocols class requires that you have RealPlayer in your computer so you may be able to listen to the audio lectures. If you do not already have it, a copy of RealPlayer can be downloaded for free at http://www.real.com)

Next, there are five audio lectures that you will need to download. There are also five PDF files of written notes that you will need to download.

You may download all of the audio lectures and the written notes into your computer. If you desire, you may burn them onto a CD disc so you will be able to simply put the CD into a different computer and start the class from the disc.

Also, when you download the PDF written notes, you should print them all out and put them in a binder for easy reading.

Read the usage rights for Writing Protocols lectures.

You are going to need a fast speed Internet connection to download these. If you have the old dial-up, it will take a long time to download each audio lecture.

First, download the cover page: CES-WP Cover Page

Next, download the vocabulary list: Grammar Vocabulary

Next, download the syllabus: CES-WP Syllabus

Now, download the audio lectures and pdf notes:
